For
your business, school, or home!

Maybe you've
heard of the new mural at duPont Middle School that was donated by Yes You
Canvas! Better yet, maybe
you've seen it!
Artist/owner
David Durrett designed the mural with the same approach he uses for most of the paintings we do at Yes You Canvas! There
are three basic steps: sketching the layout, painting
the solids, and then adding final outlines that make it all "pop."
He can do the same for your school, company, or home. He'll work with you to create a layout, and then execute the final mural
with the perfect combination of art and craftsmanship, using professional artisans to ensure that your finished work of art
is part of a well-covered and sealed surface. For
duPont's mural, David provided a layout to the school's specifications, and the project integrated into a volunteer initiative
by Fidelity and HandsOn Jacksonville. After sketching the 100-foot mural by freehand on the 8- and 12-foot walls in the school's
main hallway and rotunda, David worked with employees from Fidelity Investments who painted the initial solid coat of brown
and dark green during a Saturday
volunteer project. Then David and
a professional painter completed the solid colors, after which David spent several days outlining the entire mural, including
hundreds of of gold coins and dozens of books...all of which have titles and authors! David's 25 years of experience as a graphic designer and illustrator
allows him to offer a wide variety of styles, just as he provides in the paintings we produce at Yes You Canvas! Click these thumbnails for a sampling of the many types of images he can create

Pricing
and Turnaround Rather than
pricing by size, like other mural studios, Yes You Canvas! prices
by the project, estimating the total cost by analyzing the process and breaking it into a total number of days. Because of
David's efficient approach to painting, it takes less time than you might imagine. For example, the huge mural at duPont represented
only 10 days of work, even allowing for the work contributed by volunteers. David donated all of his time, but as an example, that project would normally cost $10,000 (including materials), using our $1,000-per-day
pricing structure, rather than the more than $20,000 that it would have cost were
we using standard size-based mural pricing. Of course, keep in mind that this project was over 100 feet long, with some 12-foot
walls! Were we only painting the rotunda, without the long hallways, it would have taken half that time. Another benefit to having David paint your mural is
the fact that our Yes You Canvas! classes are held in the evenings,
leaving ample time during the day to accommodate your project. If you'd like to donate a mascot
mural to your alma mater, or enjoy a large-format work of art in your home or place
of business, contact David at (904) 993-9047 or mail@YesYouCanvas.com today! Click the images above and below to enlarge them in new windows.
